2007 Affiliate Membership Program

Each year the various branches of the Clan Cameron Association have the option of participating in a program which will add an extra benefit of membership to their local members. It's called the Affiliate Membership Program.

Here's how it works:

1) A local branch (i.e.: Grandfather Mountain, Ontario, Northern California...) accepts the annual invitation to participate in the program, forwarding the yearly affiliate dues donation on behalf of their branch. The yearly donation amount is set, meaning it does not matter if a branch is enrolling one or one hundred and one members - the rate is the same. Specific details regarding this portion of the program are available directly from Clan Cameron Online.

2) The branch officer(s) responsible for enrolling their membership in the program receives both a user name and password for the current year's "Member's Section." The password protected area contains:

The Clan Cameron Online Newsletter, a special webpage which is of original content and is updated every two months (always on the first day of each "even" numbered month (i.e.: February 1st, April 1st, June 1st...) A sample newsletter is available for viewing.
A members-only chatroom, suitable for ordinary conversation or scheduled Annual General Meetings or Board meetings.
Special member benefits, only available to Affiliate Membership members. These are discounts, ranging from 5 to 10%, from well regarded specialty merchants via the Net.
The Clan Cameron Association's secure, automated Address Book. Members may add themselves to this listing and rest assured that their names and/or e-mail addresses will not be "lifted" by spam mail providers.

3) Participating branches, in turn, have the responsibility of notifying their local membership of both the yearly user name and password.

NOTE: Notification of the yearly user name and password are provided to each participating branch, which in turn should forward this information to their membership. We recommend that this notification be done via e-mail, but in a last resort it would be acceptable to list the URL in a paper-based newsletter (but we would ask that circulation be limited from other branches for this specific issue.) Under no circumstances should this information be posted on either a personal or branch webpage, or distributed to branches not listed below as participating. Access to the Member's Section is a privilege of membership and should be treated as such.

Clan Cameron Online cannot provide the access information to members on a case by case basis, as it does not have the means to verify one's current standing within any given branch. If for some reason you have not received the yearly access information from your branch, you must contact the appropriate officers listed below.

The user name and password information will be given to all participating branches beginning in January 2006.
